Co-founded by Dr. Mark Nielson and Sundance Kemp, My Anesthesia Pro combines decades of frontline clinical experience with a commitment to delivering dependable staffing solutions, strategic recruitment, and operational expertise. Dr. Mark Nielson
Co-Founder | Board-Certified Anesthesiologist & Pain Medicine Specialist
For more than fifteen years, Dr. Mark Nielson has built a reputation for clinical excellence, thoughtful leadership, and a relentless commitment to patient safety.
Double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Dr. Nielson has dedicated his career to helping hospitals deliver safe, efficient, high-quality perioperative care. His expertise spans regional anesthesia, perioperative medicine, outpatient surgery program development, orthopedic anesthesia, and anesthesia practice management.
A recognized authority in regional anesthesia, Dr. Nielson has personally performed more than 10,000 ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, helping thousands of patients experience improved postoperative pain control and recovery. He was a founding physician of the Acute Pain Service at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and has educated anesthesiologists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants throughout his career.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Nielson has worked closely with surgeons and hospital leadership to develop patient selection protocols, enhance perioperative pathways, improve operating room efficiency, and support successful outpatient orthopedic programs. His approach combines evidence-based medicine with practical operational experience to help healthcare organizations improve both quality and efficiency.

With years of clinical experience caring for patients in a wide variety of surgical settings, Sundance has earned the respect of colleagues through his professionalism, clinical judgment, and dedication to excellence. His commitment to education has been recognized with Educator of the Year honors, along with multiple peer nominations celebrating his impact on future anesthesia providers.
Outside the operating room, Sundance has developed social media initiatives. His educational content reaches thousands of anesthesia clinicians nationwide, allowing him to positively influence the next generation of anesthesia professionals while promoting best practices across the specialty.
